2.10 Other Materials: <br />A. All other Materials such as fasteners and retainers, not specifically described but <br />required for a complete and proper installation of building insulation, shall be as <br />selected by the Contractor subject to the approval of the Engineer. <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.01 Examination: <br />A. Verification of Conditions: <br />1. Examine walls, floors, roof, and plumbing chases for suitable conditions <br />where piping and specialties are to be installed. <br />2. Do not proceed until unsatisfactory conditions have been corrected. <br />B. Before submitting his bid, this Contractor shall visit the building site and become <br />familiar with all existing conditions that affect his work. Some material or work <br />may be required to complete the project that can only be determined by visiting <br />the site. <br />C. No extras will be allowed because of the Contractor's misunderstanding as to the <br />amount of work involved or his lack of knowledge of any site conditions which <br />may affect his work. Any apparent variance of the plans or specifications from <br />the existing conditions at the site shall be called to the attention of the Engineer <br />prior to submittal of a bid. <br />3.02 Temporary Protection: <br />A. Provide temporary bracing, shoring, and support for the execution of the work and <br />the protection of persons and property during demolition. Perform all work with <br />appropriate supports, protection, and methods to prevent collapse, settling, or <br />damage to property or persons. Provide adequate supports for the loads to be <br />carried, properly distributed, to lower levels or to sound bearing, if necessary. <br />B. Provide all protective coverings and enclosures necessary to prevent damage to <br />existing spaces and materials which are to remain. Protect openings in exterior <br />walls and roofs to prevent damage from water and weather and to prevent <br />excessive heat loss from the existing buildings.
