3.03 Demolition and Cutting: <br />A. Demolish and remove existing construction as shown or required to accomplish <br />the work. <br />B. Execute the work with care. Existing construction that is to remain which is <br />loosened, cracked, or otherwise damaged or defaced, or is rendered unsuitable for <br />its intended use, as a result of the work shall be removed and replaced at no <br />additional cost to the Owner. <br />C. Clean demolition areas and remove debris, waste, and rubbish from the building <br />at the conclusion of each day's work. Transport debris and rubbish in a manner <br />that prevents the spread of dust. Do not store or permit debris storage at the site. <br />Do not burn or permit the burning of debris, rubbish, or waste at the site. Keep <br />adjacent areas unencumbered and clean. Keep all construction areas essentially <br />broom clean on a daily basis. <br />3.04 Patching, Remodeling, Replacements, and Restoration: <br />A. Patch or otherwise restore disturbed existing construction and surfaces as <br />required. Patching or restoration shall be carried to natural breaks (such as <br />corners) wherever possible. Where existing construction is removed, cut, or <br />otherwise disturbed by the work under this contract, patch all such disturbed and <br />damaged surfaces. Repair all damage to existing construction which is to remain. <br />B. Patching work shall be done by skilled mechanics experienced in the particular <br />type of work involved. Patching work shall conform to the standards of the <br />Specifications where applicable, and where not specified, work shall conform to <br />the highest standards of the trade. <br />C. Patch existing construction to match existing work (unless otherwise called for), <br />but always provide new materials and accomplish the work according to modern <br />standards. Examine existing surfaces before proceeding with the work. Report <br />all conditions to the Engineer or Owner, where existing materials, colors, and <br />finishes cannot be matched, but do not proceed until receiving instructions. <br />D. Existing construction that has been damaged as a result of the work shall be <br />repaired to the extent required to match existing, undamaged construction. <br />3.05 General: <br />A.
