CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 6A <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Michael Grochala <br />MEETING DATE: January 25, 2016 <br />TOPIC: Employment Extension for Recycling Program Intern <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br />INTRODUCTION <br />The Council is being asked to extend the employment of the Recycling Program Intern, Aubrey <br />Fonfara, until July 27, 2016. <br />BACKGROUND <br />The 2016 Community Development budget includes a Recycling Program Intern. This position <br />was started in 2014 to assist with the recycling program development and implementation. The <br />position is funded through the Anoka County SCORE Grant Program. The City is programmed <br />to receive $78,618 in SCORE funds for recycling efforts. <br />Aubrey Fonfara began a 6 month internship in August of 2015. Staff is requesting that her <br />employment be extended through July 27, 2016. The position is for 32 hours per week at <br />$13.00. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Approve six-month employment extension for Aubrey Fonfara through July 27, 2016. <br />
