Section 26 01 00 <br />ELECTRICAL WORK <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.01 Description: <br />A. It shall be the responsibility of the roofing Contractor to retain the services of an <br />electrical Contractor to disconnect and reconnect electrical equipment on the roof <br />where it becomes necessary to raise items of mechanical equipment to properly <br />flash curbs or pipes. <br />1. It shall be the responsibility of this Contractor to verify that air <br />conditioning and miscellaneous equipment is in operational condition <br />prior to removal of same. <br />2. In the event that roof top cooling units or miscellaneous equipment need to <br />be lifted from the roof structure to accomplish the re -roofing work, <br />Contractor shall make whatever arrangements necessary to provide <br />equipment, etc. to safely remove these items from the roof and replace <br />them upon completion of work. <br />3. Any items damaged by this Contractor's work shall be repaired or <br />replaced by him at no cost to the Owner. <br />B. Contractor shall include all materials and labor necessary to extend electrical <br />conduit and wiring as may be required. <br />C. Upon replacement of equipment after re -roofing work is complete, Contractor <br />shall reconnect all disrupted services to same and test equipment unit prior to <br />turning it over to Owner. <br />1.02 Related Work: <br />A. Section 07 51 13 Asphalt Built -Up Roofing <br />1.03 Scheduling: <br />A. Contractor shall co-ordinate this work with the Owner so as to keep the <br />interruption of equipment operation to a minimum. Adequate lead time shall be <br />provided. <br />1.
