These communities are expected to plan for forecasted population and household growth <br />at average densities of at least 3-5 units per acre for new development and <br />redevelopment. The Housing Policy Plan defines affordable <br />housing as housing that is affordable to low -and -moderate income families For 2015, <br />the affordability limit is 80% of the area median income (AMI) for both rental and <br />ownership housing. In 2015, the area median income for a household of four is $86,600. <br />Under these limits, a family of four can earn up to $65,800 to qualify for affordable <br />housing. <br />Per the System Statement, Lino Lakes' share of the region's need for low and moderate <br />income housing for the decade of 2021-2030 is 515 new units affordable to households <br />earning 80% of area median income (AMI) or below.
