CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 15-129 <br />RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT FOR LINO LAKES <br />BECOMING A BEYOND THE YELLOW RIBBON COMMUNITY <br />WHEREAS, many families support their military service members who are serving in the United <br />States and overseas to protect the values and freedom enjoyed by United States citizens; and <br />WHEREAS, a Yellow Ribbon Network is a community campaign that unites the community to <br />create a comprehensive network that connects and coordinates agencies, organizations, resources, <br />and employers to military families that need support and assistance; and <br />WHEREAS, a Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Community group has been formed by community <br />leaders from the American Legion Post 566, Lino Lakes Lions Club, and the Chain of Lakes Rotary <br />Club, led by Lino Lakes Mayor Jeff Reinert, to engage the community in support of military service <br />members and their families; and <br />WHEREAS, the ultimate vision of the community is to offer support to military families and honor <br />them in our local community; and <br />WHEREAS, Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Community program will be able to connect military <br />personnel or their families with the help they need; and <br />WHEREAS, the goal of Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Community is to build an enduring and <br />sustainable network of support by inviting the community to be proactive in working together to <br />assist military service members and their families during deployment and reintegration. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, on <br />behalf of its residents, does fully support the efforts of Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Community to <br />support our military members and their families while defending the democratic values of the United <br />States of America. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 9th day of November 2015. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member <br />Kusterman and was duly seconded by Council Member Roeser and upon vote <br />being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Kusterman, Roeser, Stoesz, Reinert <br />The following voted against same: <br />none <br />Jeff Reine a or <br />ATTEST: <br />is <br />e Bartell, City Cler <br />
