1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />APRIL 28, 1975 <br />The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes City Council was called to order at <br />8:00 P.M. by Mayor Bohjanen on April 28, 1975. Council members present: <br />Jaworski, Marier and McLean. Absent: Zelinka, due to a death in the <br />family. Mr. Locher was also present. <br />The minutes of the special meetings were tabled to give members an opportunity <br />to read. Mr. Marier moved to approve the minutes of April 14, 1975 as <br />written. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Ralph L'Allier, representating the Lion s Club was present to present <br />a resusciator to the City of Lino Lakes for use by the Police Department. <br />Mr. L'Allier stated that this was purchased from fund raising projects <br />supported throughout the year by the Lion's Club. These projects are <br />supported by the citizens of the City and this is one way of recognizing <br />that support. <br />Mayor Bohjanen and Acting Chief Myhre thanked Mr. L'Allier for this unit. <br />This brings the total to three and equips each patrol car with a resusciator. <br />The Clerk reported on a letter from Mr. J. Brenk in regards to the Title <br />VI Federal Funds available for the City's use. The total of $4,998.00 is <br />allocated to the City of Lino Lakes. The County Administrator needs the <br />planned use of these funds as soon- as possible. After some discussion <br />the Clerk was instructed to write and inform the County that the Council <br />would have the County administrate these funds and work forces be allocated <br />to this City as the need arises. <br />Northwestern Bell Telephone had made application for permission to bury <br />cable on Otter Lake Road at County Road J. Mr. Gotwald has -a copy of this <br />application and had Verbally approved. Mr Jaworksi moved to approve the <br />request, with the Engineer's approval. Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion <br />carried with Mr. Marier abstaining. <br />The Planned Use Report for the Entitlement Period 6 which is from July 1, <br />1975 through June 30, 1976. This report must be completed and published <br />before June 24, 1975. The Clerk was instructed to put this on the June <br />9, 1975 agenda. The Councilmen would also like copies of this report. <br />The Clerk had received two bids for animal control within the City of <br />Lino Lakes. One from B E E and one from MAPSI. Copies of these bids <br />are to be sent to the Council and this put on the agenda for May 12, 1975 <br />meeting. <br />Read a letter from the Rice Creek Watershed District Engineers reiterating <br />their willingness to meet with the Council to discuss the water levels of <br />the lakes. The Clerk is to write and request that a representative be <br />present at the next Council meeting and this item is to be put on the <br />agenda. <br />The Clerk read a brief statement from the Metropolitan Council Action <br />Briefs dated April 28, 1975 in which the approval of the Pine Vista <br />Estates Plat is noted. There was also a letter of thanks from Mr. Charles <br />Nelson to the Council for their assistance in getting the approval of this plat. <br />
