According <br />to the EQB rules, an EAW is required s ecause the proposed institutional <br />facility is more than 200,000 squ an• Lino Lakes is a City of the fourth <br />class. The City <br />(5) responses. <br />The next step in this ocess is for the City to make a determination as to whether or not <br />an EIS is required based on the feedback received from various agencies. Should the City <br />make a negative declaration in regard to the EIS, no further action is required. Should the <br />City make a positive declaration, an EIS would be required. The typical time frame for an <br />EIS is nine (9) months to one year. The EIS would include a detailed analysis of any and <br />all issues raised as a result of the EAW. <br />Based on the information received from the various agencies contacted and the City's <br />knowledge of the proposed project site, staff recommended a negative declaration in <br />regard to an EIS for the middle School project. <br />Council had no questions on this matter. Council Member Kuether moved to adopt <br />Resolution No. 96 - 44, Negative Declaration of Need for Environmental Impact <br />PAGE 1 <br />
