• <br />• <br />SPECIAL COUNCIL WORK SESSION FEBRUARY 28, 2000 <br />DATE <br />TIME STARTED <br />TIME ENDED <br />MEMBERS PRESENT <br />MEMBERS ABSENT <br />SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING <br />MINUTES <br />: February 28, 2000 <br />: 5:30 p.m. : 6:28 p.m. <br />: Council Members Carlson, Dahl, O'Donnell, <br />and Mayor Bergeson <br />: None <br />Staff Members Present: City Administrator, Linda Waite Smith; City Engineer, John <br />Powell; Community Development Director, Brian Wessel; City Planner, Jeff Smyser; <br />Public Services Director, Rick DeGardner; Economic Development Assistant, Mary <br />Divine (part); City Attorney, Barry Sullivan <br />Mayor Bergeson advised the purpose of the meeting is to update absent Council <br />Members on the issues that were discussed at the last Council work session. <br />CDBG REALLOCATION, LINDA WAITE SMITH <br />Staff advised the County did not accept the City's allocation of CDBG Funds. The City <br />has $12,318 to reallocate. <br />Staff advised the City allocate the following funds to the following organizations: <br />Alexandra House <br />Forest Lake Area Youth Bureau <br />City Program: 1 Septic System Ordinance <br />City Program: 2 Native Planting <br />City Program: 3 Preservation Development <br />City Program: 4 ADA Park Improvements <br />$ 2,500 <br />$ 2,573 <br />$ 4,000 <br />$ 5,000 <br />$ 6,000 <br />$12,318 <br />This item will be added to the regular Council agenda Monday, February 28, 2000, 6:30 <br />p.m. <br />LETTER TO METROPOLITAN COUNCIL REGARDING PROPOSED <br />CHANGES TO BUS SERVICE, LINDA WAITE SMITH <br />Staff advised they have received a letter from the Metropolitan Council regarding proposed <br />changes in bus service within the City. Letters have also been received from residents who <br />are concerned about these changes. A draft letter from the City to the Met <br />
