CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION JANUARY 3, 2001 <br />UPDATE 02/01/01 <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />MINUTES <br />DATE : January 3, 2001 <br />TIME STARTED : 5:30 p.m. <br />TIME ENDED : 9:25 p.m. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT : Council Member Carlson, Dahl, O'Donnell, <br />Reinert, and Mayor Bergeson <br />MEMBERS ABSENT None <br />Staff members present: City Administrator, Linda Waite Smith; City Engineer, John <br />Powell; Economic Development Director, Brian Wessel (part); Economic Development <br />Assistant, Mary Divine (part); Public Services Director, Rick DeGardner (part); and City <br />Planner, Jeff Smyser <br />WEST SHADOW PONDS ROADWAY EXTENSION, <br />Staff advised notices were sent out to residents regar <br />discussed at the September 6, 2000, Council wo <br />indicating the West Shadow Ponds project. Staff advised City sewer and water would be installed when 62nd Street is <br />reconstructed. <br />Council Member Carlson asked how the sewer and water hook ups would work with the <br />City Charter. Staff advised there will be some adjustments for interest rates, similar to <br />what was done on Ware Road. <br />Council Member Carlson stated that the properties on the south side of the roadway are <br />very large. She asked if those homeowners would be required to hook up to the City <br />sewer if their septics fail. Staff advised residents must hook up to the City utilities if a <br />septic fails and if City utilities are available. Residents can utilize the modified Bisel <br />Amendment until the property is subdivided. <br />1 <br />
