CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lake Elmo (the "City") has established a Zoning Map by <br />Ordinance that implenients the various land use policies in the City's Comprehensive Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, Mare Affair Farm, LLC, 10880 Stillwater Blvd N, Lake Elmo, NIN <br />55042 (the "Applicant") has submitted an application to the City for a Zoning Map Amendment <br />to rezone the property located at: 10880 Stillwater Boulevard North, PID# 14.029.21.11.0001, <br />legally described as follows: <br />A <br />INTMr ORKWIN n1=0 <br />(the -PropOV') from RT - Rural Development Transitional to A - Agricultural, a copy of which <br />application is on file in the City Planning Department; and <br />WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Plan describes the development of the City of <br />Lake Elmo through 2030; <br />WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Land Use Map describes the areas of the City <br />(Metropolitan Urban Service Area or "MUSA") that are eligible to receive urban utilities and the <br />future land uses of lands that will develop through 2030; and <br />WHEREAS, the Property is located within the MUSA; and <br />WHEREAS, the Property is zoned RT - Rural Development Transitional, which <br />is an interim holding zone that will regulate land uses within those portions of the City planned <br />and staged for development that will connect to regional sewer service in accordance with the <br />Comprehensive Plan and is consistent with the Property being located within the MUSA; and <br />WHEREAS, the A- Agricultural District is for properties that are to be served by <br />on -site wastewater treatment facilities; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on September 11, <br />2017 to consider the Applicant's requests; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission submitted its report and recominendation <br />509010vi SJS LA515-1 <br />
