Council Member DeLapp voted against the motion. <br />Consider information and respond to a proposed schedule for the three components <br />required to update the cit 's current comprehensive pIan <br />Ben Gozola, Senior Planner reported the City Council is being asked to review and <br />comment on a proposed timeline for updating the city's comprehensive plan over the <br />coming months. The three areas for update that are requested by the Metropolitan <br />Council are: <br />1. a transportation plan, <br />2. a water plan and. <br />3. a surface water plan. <br />The Council consensus was they liked the layout and timeliness of the project and asked <br />to proceed. Council Member DeLapp noted the City already has a transportation plan that <br />the Met Council has approved and there is no justification for TKDA to do a new plan. <br />REPORTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />City Council and Staff: <br />- Council Member DeLapp summarized his review of the Comprehensive Plan <br />to determine statements denoting the number of new housing units proposed <br />for platting in the expanded portion of the Old Village. <br />- Discussion on supporting a particular recycling bin as requested by the Lake <br />Elmo Dire Department will be added for a future Council workshop. <br />- Local Board of Review — Mayor Johnston has been trained to conduct the <br />Meeting. Kevin Corbid, Washington County is requesting backup.
