LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br />MAY 19, 2020 <br />Mayor Pearson, seconded by Councilmember Dorschner, moved TO OPEN THE PUBLIC <br />HEARING. Motion passed 5 — 0. <br />No comments were received. <br />Councilmember Dorschner, seconded by Mayor Pearson, moved TO CLOSE THE PUBLIC <br />HEARING. Motion passed 5 — 0. <br />Councilmember Dorschner, seconded by Councilmember McGinn, MOVED TO ADOPT <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2020-054 ORDERING THE HAMLET ON SUNFISH LAKE STREET <br />AND UTILITYIMPROVEMENTS AND THE PREPARATION OF PLANS AND <br />SPECIFICATIONS AS OUTLINED IN THE FEASIBILITYREPORT APPROVED ON <br />APRIL 21, 2020. Motion passed 5 — 0. <br />ITEM 11: 51' Street Median Update <br />Planning Director Roberts reviewed the current status of the plantings in the 5m Street Median <br />and Lucius Jonett of Wenck Associates, Inc. presented proposed updates. <br />Councilmember McGinn, seconded by Mayor Pearson, moved to direct City staff to budget for <br />Option 3 in 2021 to improve the plantings of 511' Street Median One and Median 2 as outlined <br />in the Wenck memo dated April 29, 2020 with a not to exceed budget $20,000. Motion passed <br />5-0. <br />COUNCIL REPORTS <br />Mayor Pearson: Glad to see stay at home order lifted. <br />Councilmember Bloyer: Thanked staff for their work during the stay at home order. <br />Councilmember McGinn: Observed Fire Department training and new apparatus. <br />STAFF REPORTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />Administrator Handt: Timeline for conceptual drinking water plan is pushed back; noted that <br />the Council would likely be going back to in person meetings in June; Lake Elmo Baseball may <br />start its season in June and City will not be collecting fees for ads this year; Finance Director and <br />Fire Chief job postings will be out this week and the audit is finishing up. <br />Meeting adjourned at 8:31 pm. <br />Page 3 of 4 <br />
