Natural Resource Areas <br />Purpose c Showcase, preserve, respect and restore significant natural resources. <br />o Provide aesthetic variety. <br />Service Area c It is preferred that Natural Resources Areas are integrated into <br />and Location Neighborhood Parks, Community Parks, Mini Parks and Greenways to <br />facilitate appreciation of Natural Resource Areas by park users, and so <br />that other park land may buffer Natural Resource Areas. Natural <br />Resource Areas may also be stand-alone elements of the park system. <br />o Location of Natural Resource Areas is dependent on the landscape and <br />its natural resource potential. <br />o Service area is community -wide. <br />Size o Variable, depending on the natural resources and landscape. <br />Additional o Natural resources inform park design. <br />Policies <br />o Recreational use of Natural Resource Areas is provided for through <br />marked trails and viewing areas. <br />o Natural Resource Areas provide for wildlife habitat.
