CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />NC U <br />NTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />A RESOLUTION ORDERING PREPARATION OF A FEASIBILITY <br />REPORT FOR THE INWOOD • STATION AND <br />TRUNK WATERMAIN IMPROVEMENTS <br />WHEREAS, the 2014 water system capital improvement plan identifies a new water booster <br />station together with the extension of trunk watermain along Inwood Avenue North, from 26t" Street N. to <br />the approximate site of Well No. 3, to provide municipal water service to the developing properties in the <br />194 corridor; and <br />WHEREAS, it is proposed to route this trunk watermain through the Parkview Estates <br />neighborhood along Ivory Avenue N. and 15t" Street N. in order to snore cost effectively construct the <br />water distribution system; and <br />WHEREAS, it is proposed to provide connection service stubs to properties located adjacent to <br />the trunk watermain improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, it is proposed to assess a portion of the cost of the improvements pursuant to the <br />City's Special Assessment Policy and Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, <br />1. FOCUS Engineering is instructed to complete a feasibility report in accordance with Minnesota <br />Statutes, Chapter 429 for the proposed improvements, and to report to the council with all <br />convenient speed advising the council in a preliminary way as to whether the proposed <br />improvement is necessary, cost-effective, and feasible; whether it should best be made as <br />proposed or in connection with some other improvement; the estimated cost of the improvement <br />as recommended; and a description of the methodology used to calculate individual assessments <br />for affected parcels and to not exceed a cost of $6,700 unless approved by the City Administrator. <br />ADOPTED BY THE LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL ON THE SIXTH DAY OF AUGUST, 2013. <br />dam Bell <br />City Clerk <br />Resolution No. 2013-62 <br />
