<br />Intensive vegetation clearing means the complete removal of trees or shrubs in a contiguous patch,
<br />strip, row, or block.
<br />Interim use means a temporary use of property until a particular date, until the occurrence of a
<br />particular event, or until zoning regulations no longer permit it.
<br />Intoxicating liquor and liquor mean ethyl alcohol and distilled, fermented, spirituous, vinous, and malt
<br />beverages containing in excess of 3.2 percent alcohol by weight.
<br />Intrusion alarm means a robbery, burglary, panic, or other alarm intended to summon the police, which
<br />is designed either to be initiated purposely by a person or by an alarm system that responds to a
<br />stimulus characteristic of unauthorized intrusion.
<br />Junk. All exterior storage not permitted by LEC 105.04.020 or included as a permitted accessory use, a
<br />permitted use, or included as part of a conditional use permit, or otherwise permitted by the provisions
<br />of this Code, is defined as junk within the meaning of LEC 9.28.030(b)(11).
<br />Junk yard means an area where discarded or salvaged materials are bought, sold, exchanged, stored,
<br />baled, cleaned, packed, disassembled, or handled, including, but not limited to, scrap iron and other
<br />metals, paper, rags, rubber products, bottles, and used building materials. Storage of the material in
<br />conjunction with a permitted manufacturing process when within an enclosed area or building shall not
<br />be included.
<br />Kennel, animals, means any place where four or more of any type of domestic pets, over four months
<br />of age, are owned, boarded, bred, or offered for sale.
<br />Lamp means the component of a luminaire that produces light.
<br />Land alteration means the excavation or grading of land involving movement of earth and materials in
<br />excess of 50 yards.
<br />Land reclamation means the reclaiming of land by depositing material so as to elevate the grade,
<br />depositing of a total of more than 50 cubic yards of material per lot or parcel, either by hauling in or re-
<br />grading the area.
<br />Landscaping means planting trees, shrubs, and turf covers such as grasses and shrubs.
<br />Licensee means any park operator licensed by the state to maintain and operate a manufactured home
<br />park.
<br />Lift means the mechanical system designed to elevate or lower someone or something up or down a
<br />topographical slope.
<br />Light trespass means light emitted by a luminaire that shines beyond the boundaries of the property on
<br />which the luminaire is located.
<br />Loading space means a space, accessible from a street, alley, or way, in or outside of a building, for
<br />the use of trucks while loading and unloading merchandise or materials.
<br />Local alarm means an alarm system that emits a signal at an alarm site that is audible or visible from
<br />the exterior of the structure.
<br />Lodging room means a room rented as sleeping and living quarters, but without cooking facilities. In a
<br />suite of rooms without cooking facilities, each room which provides sleeping accommodations shall be
