10/16/23, 10:00 AM Print Preview <br />https://lakeelmo.municipalcodeonline.com/book/print?type=ordinances&name=TITLE_13_GENERAL_OFFENSES 1/4 <br />TITLE 13 GENERAL OFFENSES <br />13.00-I GENERAL PROVISIONS <br />13.00-II TRAPPING <br />13-00-III NOISE CONTROL <br />13.00-I GENERAL PROVISIONS <br />13.00.010 Conduct Or Acts Forbidden <br />13.00.020 Use Of Firearms; Hunting <br />13.00.030 Curfews <br />13.00.010 Conduct Or Acts Forbidden <br />The provisions of M.S.A. ch. 609, the state criminal code, as it may be amended from time to time, <br />defining certain crimes, are hereby incorporated in this Code by reference as though fully set forth in <br />this section, to the extent applicable within municipalities and within the city’s jurisdiction and authority. <br />HISTORY <br />Adopted by Ord. 08-253 on 11/3/2021 <br />13.00.020 Use Of Firearms; Hunting <br />The provisions of Minnesota Statutes Section 97B.001 apply to hunting and the use of firearms in the <br />City, including, but not limited to, the provisions set forth in subdivision 7 (a) of this statute. There shall <br />be no hunting on City-owned property unless otherwise determined by the City Council by resolution. <br />Should the City Council decide to allow hunting on City-owned property, the resolution adopted by the <br />City Council will outline the dates, times, and conditions of the hunting activities that may occur and will <br />include a map of the authorized location(s). <br />HISTORY <br />Amended by Ord. 08-244 on 2/2/2021 <br />Adopted by Ord. 08-253 on 11/3/2021 <br />13.00.030 Curfews <br />The following curfews shall be effective within the city: <br />(a)Under 15 years of age. Except as hereinafter provided, it shall be unlawful for any person under <br />15 years of age to be present in a public place; in any private establishment which is open to the <br />public; or on private property other than their usual place of residence, between the hours of <br />10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. the following day. <br />(b)Fifteen years to less than 18 years. Except as hereinafter provided, it shall be unlawful for any <br />person who is at least 15 years of age but less than 18 years of age to be present in a public <br />place; in any private establishment which is open to the public; or on private property other than <br />their usual place of residence, between the hours of 12:00 midnight and 5:00 a.m. the following <br />day. <br />(c)Exceptions. The curfew shall not apply to any person who is accompanied by their parent, legal <br />guardian, or other adult person in charge of their care and custody; or who is on an emergency, <br />errand, or other lawful activity as directed by their parent, legal guardian, or other adult person in <br />charge of their care or custody; or who is employed in or on the way to or from a legal place of <br />employment. <br />(d)Allowing curfew violations. It shall be unlawful for any parent, legal guardian, or other person in <br />charge of the care or custody of a person under 18 years of age to allow the person to violate
