Questions about whether a use is appropriate should be sent to your supervisor for
determination.

Personal Devices
Employees may choose to use their own equipment to read or compose email or other agency data as
governed in this policy. Employees understand that by connecting their personal equipment to the
Metro-INET resources, their personal devices could be searched during an e-discovery or other court-
ordered scenarios and agree to grant access to their personal devices should such a situation arise.

Mobile devices that have been configured to bypass manufacturer configurations (jailbroken / rooted)
are not to be used to access Metro-INET resources.

Metro-INET may require Mobile Device Management or Mobile Application Management solution(s) to
protect agency data.
Security Training and Awareness
All employees shall complete assigned security awareness training within 30 days of being granted
access to any Metro-INET resources.

All account holders must be provided with and acknowledge they have received and agree to adhere to
the Metro-INET Information Security Policies before they are granted access to Metro-INET Information
Resources.

Enforcement
Employees found to have violated this policy may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including
revocation of system privileges, termination of employment, and related civil or criminal penalties.

Any vendor, consultant, or contractor found to have violated this policy may be subject to sanctions up
to and including removal of access rights, termination of contract(s), and related civil or criminal
penalties.
