LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br />February 6, 2024 <br />Councilmember Holtz, seconded by Councilmember Beckstrom, moved TO ADOPT <br />RESOLUTION 2024-019 APPROVING THE VARIANCE REQUEST WITH CONDITIONS <br />FROMDANIEL AND ANNE STOUDT TO ALL 0 WAN IMPER VIO US SURFACE <br />COVERAGE OF 19% AT 8012 HILL TRAIL NORTH. Motion passed 5 — 0. <br />ITEM 23: Dog Park Name <br />Assistant Public Works Director Swanepoel reviewed the names suggested for the city's new <br />dog park and noted Parks Commission recommendations for the Council to choose from. <br />Councilmember Hirn, seconded by Councilmember Holtz, moved TO APPROVE ELMO'S <br />PUP PARKAS THE FORMAL NAME FOR THE DOG PARK LOCATED AT 4259 <br />.IAMACA AVENUE NORTH THOR UGH RESOLUTION 2024-020. Motion passed 5 — 0. <br />ITEM 24: Lions Park Advertisement <br />Assistant Public Works Director Swanepoel discussed the advertisement signs at Lion's Park <br />Ballfield and suggested updating the policy so advertisers would pay for the cost of their sign. <br />Councilmember Hirn, seconded by Councilmember Dragisich, moved TO AMEND <br />RESOL UTION 2017-070 TO INCL UDE THE INITIAL COST OF THE SIGN WO ULD <br />COME FROM THE ADVERTISER INADDITION TO A YEARLY FEE OF $500 FOR A <br />4X8 SIGNAND $900 FOR A 4X16 SIGNAND ARE REQUIRED TO USE THE VENDOR <br />SELECTED BY CITY STAFF. Motion passed 5 — 0. <br />ITEM 25: Bridgewater Village Preliminary Plat <br />Contract Planner Jeff Matzke, Bolton & Menk, reviewed the application, site plan concept, <br />setbacks, subdivision requirements and Planning Commission recommendations. Matt <br />Alexander spoke on behalf of the applicant and explained the anticipated water usage for the <br />proposed bank site. <br />Councilmember Holtz, seconded by Councilmember Hirn, MOVED TO ADOPT <br />RESOL UTION 2024-00 7 APPRO PING THE PRELIMINAR Y PLA T FOR BRIDGEWA TER <br />VILLAGE WITH THE FINDINGS AND CONDITIONS THEREIN. Motion passed 4 —1. <br />(Beckstrom — nay) <br />COUNCIL REPORTS <br />Mayor Cadenhead: Reported he attended the East Metro Water Group meeting and will attend <br />the Washington County long range transportation plan meeting tomorrow. <br />Councilmember Beckstrom: Requested that the City Administrator make it public what <br />meetings Councilmembers are attending. <br />Councilmember Holtz: Reported on the 3M priority group meeting on January 17th and the East <br />Metro Water Group. <br />Page 3 of 4 <br />
