Motion passed 5 – 0. <br /> <br />ITEM 10: Purchase of Vac Truck <br /> <br />Mayor Cadenhead noted that the proposed purchase is a considerable increase in price from the <br />budgeted amount. Public Works Director Powers explained that over the past 6 months he has <br />been unable to locate a used unit that would meet the city’s needs and is therefore recommending <br />purchase of a demo unit. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holtz, seconded by Councilmember Dragisich, moved TO APPROVE THE <br />PURCHASE OF A DEMO VAC/JET COMBO UNIT FROM FLEXIBLE PIPE TOOL & <br />EQUIPMENT FOR AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $560,000, AND AMEND WATER, <br />SEWER AND STORMWATER BUDGETS ACCORDINGLY FOR THE ADDITIONAL <br />$260,000 OF EXPENSE. Roll call vote taken. Motion passed 5 – 0. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holtz, seconded by Councilmember Hirn, moved TO DISPOSE OF THE <br />2006 DITCHWITCH VAC TRAILER VIA AUCTION. Roll call vote taken. Motion passed 5 <br />– 0. <br /> <br />COUNCIL REPORTS <br />Mayor Cadenhead: Reported on White House environmental official’s visit to Lake Elmo and <br />Oakdale to discuss PFAS contamination. <br />Councilmember Dragisich: Noted that he put together some thoughts on bonding and the city’s <br />debt for the council to consider. <br />Councilmember Holtz: Reported on White House official visit to Oakdale and Lake Elmo to <br />discuss PFAS contamination. <br /> <br />STAFF REPORTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
