Lake Elmo Parks System Plan
77 / 79
94 Woodbury and Oakdale are doing significant park planning and renewals. Lake Elmo
can/should do much better given growth. Plan parks, fund parks. Establish a Park and Rec
department so this gets the focus is needs
12/19/2023 8:29 AM
95 I would like to see more green spaces incorporated into the housing developments being added
to LE. The prairie adjacent to Wild Flower community is a beautiful example of how natural
area can enhance the feel of a neighborhood and bring well being to us all (I drive there to
enjoy year round.)
12/18/2023 1:04 PM
96 Crossing highway 14 to go walking in the northern areas of Lake Elmo is dangerous. An
elevated crossover walk bridge is needed.
12/18/2023 12:59 AM
97 Mental health/Seasonal anxiety—- we need fresh air; please please please clear paths in the
winter. I live in t he Savona development and 5th along with paths aren’t cleared:(
12/14/2023 3:49 PM
98 None. Thanks 12/11/2023 3:45 PM
99 Make sure any new ball fields or complexes has enough parking. Keep in mind where overflow
parking will go.
12/11/2023 2:14 PM
100 Can some communities with in LE restrict use of their trails to their residents only, such as
Whistler Valley?
12/9/2023 7:49 AM
101 Lake Elmo needs more trail ac cess and infrastructure beginning at neighborhoods, connecting
to busy streets, and then ultimately to city parks. I lived in other cities, and unfortunately, Lake
Elmo is the least connected community I’ve been a resident of. It’s a true safety hazard and
deterrent to physical fitness when the only choice is to drive everywhere. I truly hope changes
are made so future generations can experience a com munity connect by safe trails. The city
needs to invest in maintaining trails too including plowing them in the winter months.
12/9/2023 12:04 AM
102 Glad you are working on this! Will be beneficial for our overall health and sense of community. 12/8/2023 7:01 PM
103 Lake Elmo has wonderful parks -- my family really appreciates them!12/8/2023 6:44 PM
104 Would love to see hammock posts at Goose Lake Park, Hammes Park, Stonegate, Ivywood
Parks for family park relaxation days. And more basketball courts (Ivywood looks like it could
fit a basketball court)
12/8/2023 5:38 PM
105 No electric bikes should be allowed on mountain bike trails for safety reasons 12/8/2023 2:20 PM
106 I have many older friends who are afraid to walk in the parks now because of the mountain
bikers and they terrorize through the woods.
1 2/5/2023 4:26 PM
107 The park I used the most is The Lake Elmo Park Reserve.12/2/2023 7:59 PM
108 A path for bikes along Lake Jane Trail would be absolutely fantastic. We would like to walk to
Lake Jane, but the narrow shoulder, relatively fast car traffic, and poor crossing access make
us feel unsafe when trying to walk to the lake.
12/2/2023 3:19 AM
109 Be honest in your list of "parks". Some of them are land that could not be developed so they
became a "park" without access or availablity of activity, they are scenic in nature.
12/1/2023 11:09 PM
110 Make sure there are new bike/ walking trail options from parks to new interchange in 2025 at
LE Ave and Hwy 36
12/1/2023 6:02 PM
111 Love to see the wide open spaces in LE and hoping it doesn’t end up as congested as
Woodbury.
11/30/2023 5:21 PM
112 Love the sn ow grooming done in lake elmo parks. Keep that up!11/30/2023 2:17 PM
113 Pilot Park should have a gazebo and grills like other wonderful parks. It seems like Pilot Park
was not designed correctly. Very sad.
11/30/2023 1:01 PM
114 Live in the field of St. Croix think it’s ridiculous that we have a huge sign saying Tana Ridge
Park. The park commission doesn’t listen to residents .
11/29/2023 4:23 PM
115 No 11/29/2023 3:57 AM
116 Sad that the new development on co. Rd 17 near Lk Elmo Elementary doesn’t have any parks. 11/28/2023 8:46 PM
117 I do not believe we are living up to the goals of the Comp Plan. I also believe the previous plan
is quite serviceable, but it is just unused.
11/28/2023 8:08 PM
193
