Lake Elmo Parks System Plan
78 / 79
118 Holden Todd (651) 707-6070 I would be happy to give anymore thoughts or input to be helpful :) 11/28/2023 7:03 PM
119 No 11/28/2023 6:27 PM
120 Lake elmo park reserve is a great asset to have close by.11/28/2023 2:52 PM
121 I love Lake Elmo, and I would like to see bike paths that are protected and separate from the
road for families to ride on that are safe from cars all throughout the city. I would li ke to
connect to trails such at the Gateway and Central Greenway. This would improve the quality of
life for all of our residents. It would encourage more exercising, reduce carbon footprint, and
slow life down to a walk/biking experience. At the moment, our roads are deadly and I do not
feel safe on them.
11/28/2023 11:34 AM
122 A park with an outside pool would be amazing. The swimming hole at LE Park Reserve is too
creepy, always need to go searching for missing kid when I'm there.
11/28/2023 11:17 AM
123 Engage homeowners in proposed changes to parks that are directly located in residential areas
(Such as Tana Ridge-playground is located in Fields of St Croix in close proximity to houses).
11/28/2023 11:03 AM
124 I would like to see a path that would connect the Wildlife sanctuary in Wildflower and t he Fields
of St Croix, phase 2. This would benefit all of our communities because it would connect all of
the housing developments with the paths around the lake behind Tana Ridge and the Fields
phase 2 and the Wildlife sanctuary. There area many people who would benefit from this
connection. I sincerely hope this can happen.
11/28/2023 10:55 AM
125 Please consider making decisions based on logic and not a single decision that has to be
rolled out to every park regardless of size or usage.
11/28/2023 10:23 AM
126 n/a 11/28/2023 10:20 AM
127 We appreciate the number of parks and would like to see them better maintained 11/28/2023 10:05 AM
128 no 11/28/2023 9:52 AM
129 Add more pickleball courts 11/28/2023 9:29 AM
130 No, thanks.11/28/2023 9:27 AM
131 Lake Elmo parks are gems of the community and a destination for r esidents and visitors alike.
Keep building on that and strive to have and keep the best parks in the greater metro area.
11/28/2023 9:17 AM
132 No 11/28/2023 9:12 AM
133 A one-size-fits-all approach to signage does not work. For parks that are off of busy roads, it
makes sense to install a large sign. For parks that are in neighborhoods, where they are
primarily used by residents in those neighborhoods, a large sign is unnecessary and ugly.
11/28/2023 9:10 AM
134 xc skate ski grooming in winter 11/25/2023 11:23 AM
135 I really enjoy Sunfish park!!11/23/2023 5:52 PM
136 The playground equipment in Lion's park is not safe, it seems to have been installed at the
incorrect height.
11/21/2023 4:13 PM
137 None. Thank you for addressing!!!11/21/2023 1:08 PM
138 That there at too may developments and the city council ha s NO idea what they are doing.
Keep lake Elmo beautiful and rural as much as possible! Please don’t ruin it and turn it into
Woodbury. Add more parks and trails but stop with the track home developments.
11/21/2023 1:03 PM
139 Please do not take all of the tennis courts away. I understand that pickleball is popular, but we
are rapidly running out of decent surfaces to play on. Please consider making a warming area
at one/more of the ice skating rinks. Changing kids into skates outside is nearly impossible,
and kids get cold quickly. We would be able to spend much more time on outdoor recreation if
there was a warming house at one of the facilities.
11/21/2023 12:34 PM
140 I feel like the majority of my comments center around the Parks, Trails & Open Space goal #6
outlined in Lake Elmo's 2040 Comprehens ive Plan (with the friendly amendment that natural
AND currently agricultural areas may warrant investigation to provide green and recreation
space as the community develops) - PTOS Goal #6. Identify natural areas in the community
that may warrant further investigation of potential protection as areas of the community
11/20/2023 9:32 PM
194
