It would encourage more exercising, reduce carbon footprint, and <br />slow life down to a walk/biking experience. There area many people who would benefit from this <br />connection. For parks that are off of busy roads, it <br />makes sense to install a large sign. I understand that pickleball is popular, but we <br />are rapidly running out of decent surfaces to play on. Please consider making a warming area <br />at one/more of the ice skating rinks. Changing kids into skates outside is nearly impossible, <br />and kids get cold quickly. We would be able to spend much more time on outdoor recreation if <br />there was a warming house at one of the facilities. <br />11/21/2023 12:34 PM <br />140 I feel like the majority of my comments center around the Parks, Trails & Open Space goal #6 <br />outlined in Lake Elmo's 2040 Comprehens ive Plan (with the friendly amendment that natural <br />AND currently agricultural areas may warrant investigation to provide green and recreation <br />space as the community develops) - PTOS Goal #6.
