<br /> <br />TASK ORDER No. 5 – South Water Treatment Plant and Wells – Amendment #2 Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br />TASK ORDER No. 5 – A2 <br />CITY OF LAKE ELMO, MINNESOTA - STANTEC CONSULTING SERVICES INC. <br />PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES AGREEMENT <br /> <br />In accordance with ARTICLE 1 of the Master AGREEMENT between the City of Lake Elmo (“CITY”) and <br />Stantec Consulting Services Inc. (“ENGINEER”), dated May 1, 2012 (“AGREEMENT”), the ENGINEER <br />agrees to provide Professional Engineering Support Services as follows: <br /> <br />SOUTH WATER TREAMENT PLANT AND WELLS – AMENDMENT #2 <br /> <br />PROJECT OVERVIEW/PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES: <br /> <br />Task Order No. 5: The South Area Production Well and Treatment Study, Task Order 5, was authorized <br />for Professional Engineering Services to review and identify potential sites for at least two new <br />production Wells (Well 6, and Well 3 or 7), and identify the proposed scope of improvements for <br />permanent PFAS treatment for the south area production Wells. <br /> <br />Amendment #1: Task Order No. 5 Amendment #1 provides a partial engineering services budget <br />increase to continue with preliminary design services necessary to secure property for the water <br />treatment plant on the sites identified, and to continue working with the MPCA to refine and finalize <br />the scope of improvements to be approved by the MPCA for the South Water Treatment Plat full <br />project grant application. <br /> <br />Amendment #2: Task Order No. 5 Amendment #2 provides a continuation of the preliminary design <br />services necessary to secure property for the water treatment plant on the identified 8.2 acre site, and <br />specifically includes services to complete Topographic Survey and Existing Conditions Mapping, Wetland <br />Delineation, engineering services for design and construction services for Test Well 6, and a Preliminary <br />Site and Utility Layout based on the topographic survey and added site conditions. The scope of services <br />are further detailed in the attached engineering service proposal. <br /> <br />CITY RESPONSIBILITIES: The CITY (or its consultants) will provide the following: <br />1. Meet with ENGINEER on a periodic basis to discuss the work in progress. <br />2. Assist with property access for site reviews. Provide property information and record drawings <br />available for proposed sites to be evaluated. <br />3. Provide information on the existing water infrastructure as needed. <br /> <br />TIMES FOR RENDERING SERVICES: The work to be completed under this Task Order is considered <br />urgent due to the CITY’s need to have at least 1 new production well and the South Water Treatment <br />Plant online by May 30, 2027. The work shall be prioritized to provide preliminary design findings and <br />recommendations as needed to verify the feasibility of the proposed water treatment plant site, and <br />the site for Well 6, so that the City may pursue the acquisition of the site. <br />
