Any water that is retained in a “bird bath” equating to the thickness of a <br />nickel (1.95mm) after 20 minutes of being applied to the court must be <br />repaired. <br />h. There must be a one-year warranty period of the courts, starting the date of <br />acceptance by the City. <br />i. The contractor must purchase and install pickle ball nets. The nets must be <br />installed by the contractor so that they meet the USARA guidelines (see <br />EXHIBIT C). <br />j. The contractor must purchase and install tennis nets. The nets must be <br />installed by the contractors so that they meet the USTA specifications. <br />k. The contractor must purchase and install four six-foot-long black benches <br />from Wabash Valley, product SG406P (or similar). The benches must be <br />black in color and must be mounted on a concrete pad that extends one foot <br />past the outer edge of the bench. The manufacturer’s installation <br />instructions must be followed with respect to the installation of the benches. <br />Bench location shall be determined by city staff at time of construction. <br />l. The contractor must purchase and install two Rally Master 10 X 12 <br />Backboards. Rebound wall locations will be determined by City staff at the <br />time of installation. <br /> <br />C. Court Surface and Lining (Pavement Stripping) <br />a. The pickle ball courts must be constructed to USA Pickle ball <br />Association dimensions and specifications (see EXHIBIT A). The <br />courts’ surface must extend seven feet from the eastern, western, <br />northern, and southern edges. <br />b. All courts shall have two coats of Acrylic Blended Resurfacer and two <br />coats of Acrylic Color Coating with appropriate striping. <br />c. Textured acrylic color surface must be applied to the courts. Surface <br />shall be applied after a minimum of 30 days after paving. The area must <br />be secured to eliminate any traffic on the new surface, or power washing <br />of the surface will be required before surfacing. The contractor will <br />work with the City to determine the court color. <br />d. Lines, markings and play area for all pickle ball courts must follow the <br />USARA pickle ball painting guidelines and must meet all dimensions <br />and specifications. <br />e. Lines, markings and play area for all tennis courts must follow the <br />USTA painting guidelines. All tennis courts must be constructed to <br />meet USTA dimensions and specifications (see EXHIBIT D). <br /> <br />D. Electrical The Contractor will be responsible for installing all new electrical <br />materials as described. Two separate cabinets will need to be installed at two <br />different spots within Pebble Park. <br />a. Remove and replace existing electrical service panel, add new pad mount <br />Povolny Specialties Signal Service Cabinet (POVS18LKELMO) to include <br />new meter socket. <br />b. Install concrete pad for cabinet per manufacturer’s specifications at the <br />cabinet location.
