1 <br />LA515\1\1048357.v1 <br />CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />COUNTY OF WASHINGTON <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2025-14 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE LAKE ELMO CITY CODE OF ORDINANCES BY <br />AMENDING CHAPTER 9.32, SECTION 9.32.060 RELATING TO PICKLEBALL COURT <br />HOURS <br />SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Lake Elmo hereby ordains that Chapter 9.32 <br />of the City’s Code of Ordinances is hereby amended by changing the following Section <br />9.32.060 (proposed language is underlined, deleted language is shown with strikethrough): <br />9.32.060 Hours <br />Except as hereinafter provided, all public parks shall be closed from one-half hour after sunset <br />until sunrise the following day. <br />(a)Park facilities with operational lighting for ice rinks, tennis courts and ball fields <br />may remain open until 10:00 p.m. as posted in each park. <br />(b)A special permit may be issued by the city administrator or the administrator’s <br />designee for park usage outside of the permitted hours of operation. <br />(c)Pickleball courts within all public parks may be used between the hours of 8:00 <br />a.m. to 7:00 p.m. No pickleball shall be played during the hours that the pickleball <br />courts are closed. <br />SECTION 2. Effective Date. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon adoption <br />and publication in the official newspaper of the City of Lake Elmo. <br />SECTION 3. Adoption Date.
