This <br />conference provides valuable opportunities for professional development, networking with peers, <br />and learning about best practices that can be applied and benefit our community. <br />ISSUE BEFORE COUNCIL: <br />Will the City Council approve paying for the airfare for the City Administrator to attend the <br />ICMA conference in Tampa FL October 25-29, 2025? <br />DETAILS/ANALYSIS: <br />Our personnel policy states “Attendance at training or conferences out of state is approved only <br />if the training or conference is not available locally. All requests for out of state travel are <br />reviewed for approval/disapproval by the city administrator.” <br />The registration and lodging are estimated to cost $1837. Airfare is estimated to be around $200. <br />OPTIONS: <br />1)Approve the payment for airfare for City Administrator to attend ICMA conference <br />2)Do not approve the payment for airfare for City Administrator to attend ICMA <br />conference. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />If removed from the consent agenda:
