CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />COUNTY OF WASHINGTON <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2025-16 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE SECTION 105.12.470 TREE PRESERVATION TO <br />CREATE A TREE FUND <br />SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Lake Elmo hereby amends Title 105 Zoning; Chapter <br />105.12, Section 470 Tree Preservation by adding the following section (Proposed language is <br />underlined; deleted language is shown with strikethrough): <br />g) Tree Fund. <br />(1) Purpose. The purpose is to provide a dedicated fund for tree replacement throughout the city. <br />(2) Funding Sources. The primary funding sources will be from fee-in-lieu of tree replacement, funds <br />allocated by the City Council, and individual and business donations. <br />(3) Eligible Expenses. Funds shall be spent on programs approved by the City Council, which include but are <br />not limited to a boulevard tree program. <br />SECTION 2. Effective Date. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon adoption and <br />publication in the official newspaper of the City of Lake Elmo. <br />SECTION 8. Adoption Date.
