STAFF REPORT <br />DATE: December 16, 2025 <br />Consent <br />TO: Mayor and Councilmembers <br />FROM: Nicole Miller, City Administrator <br />AGENDA ITEM: Park Commission Reappointment <br />CORE STRATEGIES: <br />☒ Vibrant, inclusive, connected community ☐ Efficient, reliable, innovative services <br />☐ Responsive, transparent, adaptive governance ☐ Balanced Finances now and future <br />☐ Managed Growth ☐ Resilient Infrastructure <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Parks Commission is established to review and make recommendations to the Council on the future <br />development of city parks, including the establishment of and improvements to the parks, and to make <br />recommendations to the Council on policies governing the maintenance and public use of the parks within <br />the city. The Parks Commission shall consist of 7 members. The voting members shall be appointed by the <br />City Council for a 3-year term. <br />The term of Commissioner Peterson expires 12/31/25 <br />ISSUE BEFORE COUNCIL: <br />Should the Council reappoint Parks Commissioners Tracey Peterson? <br />PROPOSAL: <br />Commissioner Peterson has requested reappointment. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />If removed from the Consent Agenda, staff recommend the following motion: <br />“Move to reappoint Tracey Peterson to the Parks Commission <br />for term ending 12/31/28”
