The pipe segment <br />was originally constructed with the Old Village water system in the mid 1960’s and is now beyond its useful <br />service life. <br /> <br />ISSUE BEFORE COUNCIL: Should the City Council approve the Plans and Specifications and Order <br />the Advertisement for Bids for the CSAH 14 Watermain Improvements, from CSAH 17 (north leg) to <br />Layton Avenue? <br /> <br />PROPOSAL DETAILS/ANALYSIS: Plans and specifications have been completed for CSAH 14 <br />Watermain Improvements project and are ready to be advertised for contractor bids. A bid date has been <br />scheduled for February 19, 2026, with the intent of recommending a contract award at the March 3, 2026 <br />City Council meeting. <br /> <br />The CSAH 14 Watermain Improvement project includes the replacement of approximately 1,700 LF of <br />watermain. The watermain will be installed using directional drilling to minimize roadway impacts and <br />closures with full excavations required at hydrants and tie-in locations at each intersection.
