The DRC maintains our previous
recommendation that the developer consider making a trail/pedestrian connection to the west,
linking the site to Oakdale. Such an extension would improve overall community connectivity,
and it’s worth noting that the development will be served by ISD 622 (Eagle Point, Skyview, and
Tartan).

There appears to be at least two ways a connection could be made.
1. Connect a trail to PID 2002921410024 (owned by the City of Oakdale) which would link
with Hydram Ave N.
2. Establish a trail along the side lot line of either 2618 or 2580 Imperial Ave N to PID
2002921140071 (owned by the City of Oakdale).
We realize the second option would be less favorable given that the connection
would run through an existing residential lot.

In addition, we ask that the stormwater management plans, when available, be sent to the City
of Oakdale’s Engineering staff for review. We want to ensure that runoff is managed
accordingly and does not impact Oakdale property.

Please let me know if you have any questions about the comments above.

Thank you,

Luke McClanahan, AICP | City Planner
City of Oakdale | Community Development Dept.
1584 Hadley Avenue N, Oakdale, MN 55128
Office: (651) 730-2720
luke.mcclanahan@oakdalemn.gov
