The event is expected to have an attendance of up to 150 people per production <br />twice a day from April 30th – May 3rd and intends to utilize the barn structure at that address for the event. <br />ISSUE BEFORE COUNCIL: <br />Should the Council deny the special event permit for 12058 55th St N? <br /> <br />PROPOSAL DETAILS/ANALYSIS: <br />Anthony Svoboda, Assistant Fire Chief, contacted the applicant to discuss the event. At this time, the barn <br />structure has been determined not to be code compliant with hosting this type of event. Assistant Chief <br />Svoboda also discussed the permit with Planning and there are also concerns with zoning, parking and other <br />uses for this type of event. <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br />N/A <br />OPTIONS: <br />1) Deny the special event permit <br />2) Approve the special event permit <br />RECOMMENDATION: (if pulled from Consent) <br />“Move to deny the special event permit at 12058 55th St N for the dates of April 30-May 3, 2026.” <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />• Special Event Permit Application
