2026 Intern Position <br />10-20 hours a week <br />Support community development initiatives through administrative assistance, research, and process <br />improvement. <br />Intern Tasks <br />1. Research Project – How municipalities using AI and/or other software to improve municipal <br />processes <br />• Research, document and summarize AI/new software Use Cases <br />o What is being used? <br /> Vendors, platforms <br />o What problems are they intended to solve? <br />o Timeline for implementation <br />o Data privacy, security <br />• Evaluate outcomes <br />o Report on <br /> benefits (costs, efficiency, etc.) <br /> outcomes <br /> issues <br /> community response <br /> lessons learned <br /> <br />2. Cloud Permit (CP) Permitting Software <br />a. Code Enforcement Module and Planning Module <br />• Enter previous apps 2023-2025 into the module <br />• Identify pinch points within process, create list <br />• Coordinate with CP staff and LE staff to make updates/improvements to applications and workflows <br />in software <br />• Create SOPs for residents to improve experience using CP software <br /> <br />3. Community Engagement <br />a. Support and analyze community engagement surveys and reporting <br />b. Support Public Hearing and Open House for upcoming land use projects <br /> <br />4. Community Development Admin/Website <br />a. Update and improve community development workflows <br />b. Work with CDA on incorporating site selector on website <br /> <br />5. Sustainability (time permitting) <br />a. Green Step/Gold Leaf support <br />• Research & Analysis (energy, water, ghg) <br />• Enter items for Green Steps/Gold Leaf <br /> <br />6. Other tasks and research as assigned by Community Development Director
