During the 2025 community engagement efforts for the Phase 1 Old Village Gardens <br />improvements, it became clear that additional shade trees were desired along the east side of Lake <br />Elmo Ave. While this work did not fit into last year’s budget, it was identified for implementation in 2026. <br />The following scope of work is included in this letter proposal: <br />Task 1 - Project Start-up Coordination ($1,425) <br />• Site visit to confirm conditions and close out phase 1 plantings <br />• Coordinate with City staff and review utility survey <br />Task 2 - Draft Construction Documents ($6,040) <br />• Plans and details related to installation of two new paver-covered tree planting beds to <br />match existing streetscaping along Lake Elmo Avenue, and the replacement of three <br />ornamental trees with shade trees <br />• Specifications for pavers, structural soils, and trees to support construction <br />Task 3 - Assistance with Quoting and Contractor Selection ($3,615) <br />• Procuring quotes from three potential general contractors to perform the work <br />• Preparation of a presentation and attendance at a City Council Meeting to recommend <br />contractor selection <br />Task 4 - Construction Administration ($5,040) <br />• Coordination with selected contractor prior to construction <br />• Submittal review <br />• Construction observation site visits (up to 6 in fall of 2026)
