FISCAL IMPACT: <br />The proposed professional services agreement with HKGi would be completed on an hourly basis for a not-to-exceed <br />amount of $16,470, including reimbursable mileage expenses. Funding for these services would come from the 2026 <br />Streets Contracted Services budget, which has $53,000 allocated. <br />Construction and installation costs associated with the proposed improvements are not included in this proposal and <br />would be addressed separately following contractor quotations and project bidding. <br />OPTIONS: <br />Approve the Proposal as Presented <br />Approve HKGi’s professional services agreement for the Old Village Gardens Phase 2 project and authorize staff <br />to proceed with design, contractor solicitation, and construction administration services. <br />Approve with Modifications <br />Approve the proposal with changes directed by the City Council, such as modifying the scope, reducing costs, <br />adjusting the number of trees, or changing the project schedule. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that the City Council approve the professional services agreement with HKGi for the Old Village <br />Gardens Phase 2 project in an amount not to exceed $16,470 and authorize NKGI to proceed with the proposed scope of <br />work. <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />Scope of work Proposal <br />2025 & 2026 Proposed Improvements
