Inwood 10 LLC <br />Project B14-08413 <br />December 3, 2014 <br />Page 2 <br />The purpose of this preliminary geotechnical evaluation is to assist Inwood 10 LLC and their design team <br />in evaluating the soil and groundwater conditions in the area of the proposed commercial development <br />and to provide preliminary recommendations for design and construction of foundations, slabs on grade, <br />utilities, and pavements. <br />A.2.Background Information and Reference Documents <br />To facilitate our evaluation, we were provided with or reviewed the following information or documents: <br />A proposed boring location sketch outlining the commercial development, the proposed <br />boring locations, and previously performed soil borings by American Engineering Testing, Inc. <br />A development concept sketch titled as, “PUD Concept Plan Inwood”, and dated August 28, <br />2014. <br />A Geotechnical Evaluation prepared by AET and dated May 13, 2014 for the residential <br />portion of the project generally located at the northwest portion of the parcel. <br />Discussions with Rick Schreier of Inwood 10 LLC in regard to the commercial development <br />grading, building pad preparation, and features. <br />A.3.Scope of Services <br />Our scope of services for this project was originally submitted as a Proposal to Rick Schreier of Inwood 10 <br />LLC and dated October 24, 2014. We received authorization to proceed on October 30, 2014. Tasks <br />completed in accordance with our authorized scope of services are described below. <br />Staking the boring locations at the locations provided by Rick Schreier and determining <br />ground surface elevations at the boring locations. <br />Coordinating the locating of underground public utilities near the boring locations. <br />Conducting 7 standard penetration borings in the proposed commercial development to a <br />nominal depth of 20 feet below existing grade. <br />Classifying the samples and preparing boring logs.
