Approval of this resolution commits the City to enter into a construction contract for the project in the amount <br />of $172,076.73. This project was budgeted for $327,000, with engineering and surveying expenses staff expects <br />the project to cost around $253,000. <br />From Finance Director Hadler: <br />The Jamaca Building Parking Lot was originally in the CIP as being funded by the General Fund ($277K). <br />However, the amount didn’t make it into the actual General Fund Budget spreadsheet, as Finance has <br />been moving away from paying for CIP projects from the General Fund and had intended to start a <br />Public Works Facilities fund for the Ideal Ave and the Jamaca buildings. That fund has since been <br />created and we will be bringing various budget amendments and fund transfers in July that will include <br />money for this project. <br />There is $50,000 in the Park Dedication Budget for the Pup Park parking lot portion of the project. <br />OPTIONS: <br />Accept the Bid and award a contract to Miller Excavating Inc. <br />Do not move forward with the project. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Motion to approve Resolution No. 2026-044, Accepting the Bid and Awarding a Contract to Miller Excavating Inc. <br />for the amount of $179,015.23 for the Pup Park Parking Lot project  <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />Resolution 2026-044 <br />Engineers’ Letter of Award Recommendation and Tabulation of Bids <br />Pup Park Parking lot map <br />Project Schedule
