Council Member Lundgren seconded the motion. <br />Bloyer asked about park lands funds. A walking path or trail was discussed. MOTION PASSED <br />5-0. <br />ITEM 7: WEDDING VENUE ORDINANCE AMENDMENT; ORDINANCE 08-121, RESOLUTION NO. 2015-45 <br />Klatt presented the proposed ordinance amendment. It would allow this parcel to be a commercial weddings <br />venue. At 11658 50th St N. A later interim use permit would still be required. He explained the proposed use restrictions. The Planning Commission unanimously recommended approval. <br />The previous wedding venue ordinance was explained. The proposed development on adjacent property and related parcel details were explained. Danielle Hecker, applicant, presented her proposed use for the subject parcel. <br />Some of the other examples of barn wedding venues were further detailed. Rebecca Tenpas, 11330 50th St. concerned that because the change would apply to all rural residential, not <br />all the residents who live on large lots are being represented. <br />Elsie Tenpas, 11330 50th St. does not want the rural character that she grew up with Some guy… <br />Neil Krueger, 4452 Lake Elmo Ave, supports preserving barns, but supports finding a method other than weddings. Jean Macdranich, concered about the traffic, supports the idea, but not there. <br />Brett Thompson, 11494 50th St concerned about traffic Janet Thompson, 11494 50th St concerned about the disturbance of the peace and traffic. <br />Smith asked about the planning minutes. She asked that the minutes be included with the item.
