Village of Lake Elmo <br />January 2, 1962 <br />Minutes of Council Meeting. <br />Present: Louis Urtel,Lloyd Ebne, Roy Dornfeld, Randolph <br />Carlson, and Donald Mehsikomer. <br />Meeting called to order at 7:3OPM by Mayor Urtel. <br />Clerk Mehsikomer administered the Oath of Office to the new- <br />ly elected Mayor, Louis Urtel and to the newly elected coun- <br />oilman Randolph Carlson. <br />Mayor Urtel then presided over the meeting. <br />As published in the Gazette and the Construction.Magazine the <br />bids were opened for the well as part of the Village Water <br />System. <br />1. E.H. Renner and Sons $12*400 <br />Bid bond enclosed with completion by March 15, 1962. <br />2.Keys Well Drilling Co. 10,895 <br />Bid bond enclosed but asked for 100 days completion. <br />3.MoCarthey Well Drilling Co. 12,525 <br />Bid bond enclosed with March 15,1962 completion. <br />4.Bergerson-Casiveel 13,465 <br />Bid bond enclosed with March 15, 1962 completion. <br />5.L�yne Minnesota Co. 11,395 <br />( Bid bond enclosed with completion in 90days. <br />6.Tri-State Drilling 13,860 <br />Bid bond enclosed with March.15, 1962 completion. <br />Village Engineer, Bill Banister, at this point requested a <br />delay in a decision on the bid so that he and his assistant <br />could tabulate the bids and offer a recommendation. <br />Request granted. <br />Clerk reported that the cash on hand in the various accounts <br />as of January 1, 1962 was as follows: <br />Village $4,778.07 Fire Department $69.38 <br />Fire Sinking $2,599.91 <br />Committee reports: Streets Trustee Lloyd Ebne. <br />During and after the snow the streets had been plowed and <br />sanded as. needed. <br />Christmaw Tree lights had been disconnected and would be <br />taken down. <br />Clerk was requested to write Northern States requesting the <br />move of the street light on Rose Street. <br />Recreation: Trustee Roy Dornfeld. <br />The door on the warming house has as yet not been replaced. <br />Norm Wendt has plowed the skating rink and the small rink <br />is now flooded. <br />Mrs. Cheny will supervise the rinks from 6-9 PM at $2./day. <br />Flooding has been done by the fire department. <br />Light to be turned so that the small rink has more light. <br />
