Special Council meeting April 279 1970. <br />Councilman Abercrombie was appointed to chair the discussion on wages <br />for the maintenance employees. <br />Mayor Br.cokman reported. that Stillwater has three steps. Laborer $3.33, <br />next step $3.60 and head operator and mechanic $4.00.. <br />Councilman Watson .reported on Oakdale. Labor rate which includes running <br />equipment is $$3.80 and head operator and mechanic $4.000 <br />Councilman Fi.redri.ch reported on Woodbury.. Roadgrader operator and truck <br />drive $695/m®nth. Waterman $660/month. Supervisor and head operator 8765 <br />per month. Also one laborer at ,$2.50/hour. <br />Councilman Shervheim reported on North St. Paul. Overall supt $5.20/hour. <br />Equipment operator $$4.25/hr with a starting salary of $3.20/hr. <br />Councilman Abercrombie reported on Cottage Grove. Truck driver $$3.80/hr. <br />Working Forman makes $4.25/hr. <br />Councilman Friedrich reported on Washington County. Class "I laborer <br />$2.92/hr. Class 2 Laborer 3.69 and class 3 laborer(grader operator and <br />truck- driver) $4.20/hr. Mechanic and maintenance man $$4.32/hr. <br />Based on the 'Lake Elmo salary of $4.44/hr for mecanic operator and $3.50 <br />for the assistant Mayer Brookman moved and Councilman Shervheim seconded <br />the motion that the Village salaries remain as they are with a review <br />scheduled for thB December meeting.
