Minutes of the Council Meeting of -the Village of bake Elmo August4, 1970 <br />Me:etibg called to order at 7:34 by Mayor Brockman.. <br />Present:BrbokmangWatsonrSh.ervheim.,Friedrieha.Abercrombie,Park & Mehsikomer. <br />Reading of correspondence. better was received from the Highway Depxt. <br />I StatO of Minnesota; a Mr. McRae. He had been requested by citizens to <br />make available information.on the possible road corridors for the ext. <br />ension of Highway 212. The State will w®:rkmthrough the Village but will <br />not act separately.. Therefore in conjunction with the Village an inform— <br />ation meeting was set up for Monday August 10, 1970 at the Village Hall. <br />Mayor Brookman & Coru.ncilma,n Watson will 'be absent. so Councilman Abercrom— <br />bie will chair the meetings Clerk to arrange for publication. <br />)',Letter received from 31VI Tartan Park suggesting that a street light be <br />i 'at Vaced. at the intersection of Washington County 15 7 McNeely Rood and also <br />p�' othe intersection of Washington County 17 & McNeely Read. Clerk advised <br />toix advise them that the matter would be considered. <br />Clerk advised to send a letter of approdda;tion to the 31VI Company for <br />o�- \ft-he Washington County Government Officials. & 3M Day at Tartan Park. <br />4 <br />Letter received on waste disposal. from the PCA. Copies of the letter and <br />attachments were to be distributed to all members of the Council and the <br />subject would be discussed at the next meeting. Richard Johnsen to be <br />invited to participate in the discussion.atxtk <br />A request: had been received from Pemteffi.to permit them to- reduce the <br />bond on Phase 1 :faxffi of the Cimarron Mobile Home Development. A .letter <br />was! received from Donald Grover of Bonestroo & Assoc. a,dvisong that he <br />s� Y,had. reviewed th.e request and recommended that the Council approve the <br />° reduction of bond from$36r700 to $12,000. A request to establish the <br />bond onphase 2 was received. Donald Grover recommended that the bond be <br />established at $45,OOO.00.. <br />Motion by Councilman Abercrombie secon by Councilman Watson that the <br />bond on. Phase 1 be Rtkxxxx .reduced to 812,.000.00 and that the bond on � <br />Phase 2 be set at 850,000.00. Motion Carried 5-0. <br />Niation 'by Councilman Abercrombie second by Councilman Watson that the <br />contract with Alexnader Construction be approved subject -to, review by <br />Village Counsel, Den Raleigh,, and the. Player and Clerk be instructed to <br />sign for the Village approval. Building would require a <br />$5,000 bond for a maximum of 5 years.
