Councilman Abercrombie to investigate. <br />5.Advised that all the traffic signs in the tri-lakes area had been <br />changed or installed in line with the citizen request. <br />6.Windshield in the truck is cracked. Council felt that this was <br />covered by comprehensive insurance. <br />7.A.dvised that licenses were due for. Village equipment. 'Title cards <br />were to be located and licenses obtained if necessary. Title cards <br />for the Fire trucks had a, due date of 1971 not 1970. Counsel Ral- <br />eigh to check and see if emergency equipment such as the Village <br />Fire Trucks needed a license at all. <br />8.Since a truck is contemplated we should be considering writing <br />specs. Matter turned over to Councilman Friedrich. <br />Resolution R-70-1500py an file in Clerk's Office) regarding: <br />.EXPRESSJING APPROVAL OF PROPOSED RESOLUTION BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />OF WASHINGTON CO NTY WIT' RESPECT TO A METROPOLITAN PARK IN THE VILLAGE <br />OF LAKE El:1T'O was presented by Councilman Shervheim asking for its approval. <br />Second made by Councilman: Abercrombie. Resolution carried. 4-0. <br />Rich, Peterson the Village Forester was on hand to discuss his report on <br />Dutch Elm and Oak Wilt. Mr. Peterson. advised. the Council that he had <br />taken a. position with the state and would be stationed at Moose bake. <br />If it was agreeable with the Council he would like to continue on with <br />the Village since he felt the majority of the program would be in the form. <br />of informational meetings in groups of ten or more and that this could be <br />accomplished through him on an evening and, week end basis. Council advised <br />Mr.. Peterson that they would think the matter over and contact him thru <br />the clerk's office regarding the final decision. <br />Counsel, Don Raleigh' was authorized to sit down with the County Sheriff <br />and lay down some ground rules for a police protection contract. <br />Clerk instructed to set up an information meeting :for the citizens of <br />Lake Elmo Village regarding the UNIFORM STREET NAMING AND PROPEATY <br />NUMBERING SYSTEM FOR WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA. Date and time to be <br />dependant on availability of Donn Pepper and adequate facilities. <br />Clerk instructed to ask Otto Bonestroo to prepare the preliminary road <br />plans :for Sections 32733,34935 and 36 between highway 94 and Minnehaha. <br />Request that plans be submitted at the meeting January 5, 1971. <br />Motion by Councilman .Abercrombie 2nd by Councilman Shervheim that the <br />matter between the Village of bake Elmo, the Village of Oakdale and <br />interested citizens had been presented to the Municipal Commx±txission <br />the Council of the Village: of :Lake Elmo would take no further action <br />in the dispute at this time.
