Motion by C. Abercrombie 2nd by C.Watson
that the minutes be approved as amended. Carried 5--0,
Mr. & Mrs. Robert Godfrey appeared before the council. asking that they
get a letter of buildability for Lot 1 P'abst's Lake Jane 2nd Addition.
The lot was platted in 1965 and included more than 18,500 sq.,ft..
Mr. Godfrey requested a.letter similar to the one given to Mrs.Colosimo
for her lot in the same addition. Council. pointed out that the letter
was not a firm authorization for a building permit but still had the
requirement that any proposed building would still have to meet all the
normal requirements as to applicable codes; building, water, sewer, gas
etc. It w s a*H e ed o t that these now was a new requirement impose
by the Val `lae,y Dis rict which would have to be complied with.
Mr. Godfrey conceded these facts but said that he would be completely
happy with a letter similar to Colosimo's. Motion by C.Watson '2nd by
C. Shervheim that clerk be authorized to sign a letter with the same
conditions spelled out to Mrs. Colosimo but with the Valley Branch
Watershed District requirement included. Dick Neville Village
Patrolman was also on hand at council's request to discuss the Special
Use Permit for this coming season. Problems of the past year were
discussed. and Mr. Wiggin's advised that the situation would be different
this year. New plans were being formulated which he felt would be
acceptable to the council. Motion by C. Watson 2nd by C. Shervheim.
that the council refrain from issuing the permit subject to the approval
of the new policy to be in effect this year. All p-oints discussed by
the Mayor and Patrolman would be covered. Carried 5-0. Mr. Wiggin's
was instructed to send the new policy to the clerk as`soon as it was
finalized. Clerk would distribute copies to Dick Neville and to members
of the council for review so that it can be resolved at the next meeting
after they are received.
Council reviewed thePZC Minutes :for the February 8 & 28 with P'ZC Member
Fran Pott. A Public Hearing had been held relative to the installation
of advertising signs by Orrin Thompson Homes along Hwy. 36. PZC had
recommended that .required permits for the sign be issued at Kurt Drive
and 36. Because of questions no action could be taken on the other
requests until March 14, 1972..Counsel Raleigh pointed out that the
State Trunk H*ys law of 1971 prohibited any such sign. Council advised
Mr. Robert Steindorf that approval would not be given by the council.
Peter Dupuis had appeared before the PZC' re building permit for the
Springborn property North of Hwy. 212 in Section 1.2. PZC recommended
that approval be given providing -they received proof that there was an
easement for a minimum 30ft. access from Hwy 212 to the property. Motion
by C. Watson to approve a building permit subject -to the requirements, of
the building code since Land Survey 61 showed the required access ease-
ment. Second by C. Shervheim and approved by the council 5-0.
