Chuck Dillerud
From:
Travis Germundson [Travis.Germundson@dnr.State.mn.usI
Sent:
Monday, July 24, 2006 4:09 PM
To:
Chuck Dillerud
Cc:
Tim Walsh
Subject:
Re: C & C Terra Holdings proposal in Lake Elmo
chuck,
Based on our discussions today with C&C North America, review of the September 27, 1999
"Resolution Regarding a Variance to the Shoreland Standards (Impervious Surface ) United
Properties -Eagle Point Business Park", and proposed modifications to the existing site
plan as follows:
> Reduce the number of parking spaces and parking setbacks along the
northwest corner of parcel. It was agreed that if at some point in time parking becomes a
problem on consistent basis city Staff and the DNR would be open to discus additional
parking spaces at that location.
> The submitted of a planting plan/landscape plan for the area proposed
to be graded beyond the property boundary within the 100' tributary setback. The plan
would essential re -vegetate the, slope with a mixture of native grass and trees.
I feel that the variance request to the 100' setback from a tributary is reasonable based
on the above mentioned items and unique characteristics of the parcel and therefore, no
longer recommend denial_
Thank you again for setting up this meeting in order to discuss these issues.
Travis Germundson
Area Hydrologist
DNR Waters
1200 Warner Rd.
St, Paul, MN 55106
651-772-7914
2
