2007 Capital Improvement Program <br />Minneapolis -St. Paul International Airport <br />November, 2006 <br />Runway Deicing/Holding Pad program <br />Runway 12L Snow Melting Pad Expansion $1,700,000 <br />This project provides for the expansion of the Runway 12L snow storage/melting area including the <br />replacement of the existing snow melter with a three burner melter. These improvements will provide for a <br />larger snow storage pad and increased melting capacity that will result in increased efficiency of the pad. <br />Taxiway C/D Complex Construction <br />Taxiway CID Complex $8,200,000 <br />This project is the third phase of a multi -phase program to reconstruct and reconfigure Taxiways C and D <br />between Runway 12L/30R and Runway 12R/30L. This project provides for the realignment of Taxiway C <br />between Taxiways A and Taxiway C6 and the reconstruction of pavement bounded by new alignments of <br />Taxiways A, B, C and D. <br />Airfield Rehabilitation Program <br />Airside Bituminous Rehabilitation $500,000 <br />An ongoing program to construct or reconstruct bituminous pavements within the Air Operations Area. Two <br />projects areas are planned for implementation in 2007. One involves construction of bituminous shoulders <br />on Taxiway R from Taxiway R8 to Taxiway R3. The second provides for the mill and overlay of the <br />bituminous roadway in the tunnel under Runway 12R/30L. <br />Pavement Rehabilitation — Aprons $2,300,000 <br />This is an ongoing program to replace sections of concrete pavement in the aircraft operational areas that <br />have deteriorated to a point where maintenance is no longer a viable option. This year's project will <br />replace approximately 6,000 square yards of apron pavement at gates C1 and D6 including associated <br />gate fuel hydrant systems... <br />Pavement Joint Sealing Repair $800,000 <br />An ongoing program to provide for the resealing of joints in existing concrete pavements. The project also <br />provides for limited crack and surface repair. This year's project is located adjacent to Concourses C, D <br />and G including adjacent taxiways. <br />Runway Rehabilitation Program <br />Pavement Rehabilitation — Runway 12RI30L Seg.2 $17,500,000 <br />This project provides for the reconstruction of the middle section of Runway 12R/30L located between <br />Runway 4/22 and Taxiway A4. Reconstruction of two separate segments has been completed in previous <br />years with Segment 2 being the final section of pavement requiring reconstruction. <br />Terminal Rehabilitation & Development Program <br />International Arrivals Facilities $200,000 <br />This project provides for improvements to the International Arrivals Facility at both the Lindbergh and <br />Humphrey Terminals as required. <br />Landside Rehabilitation & Repair Program <br />Landside Pavement Construction $400,000 <br />An ongoing program to reconstruct the airport's roadways and parking lots.. A specific project has not been <br />identified at this time. Pavements will be evaluated in the spring of 2007 to determine whether a pavement <br />repair project is needed. <br />Parking Structure Rehabilitation $1,500,000 <br />An ongoing program to maintain the integrity of the airport's multi level parking structures. Projects <br />typically include concrete repair, joint sealant replacement, expansion joint repairs, concrete sealing and <br />lighting improvements. A Parking Facility Maintenance, Rehabilitation and Management Program is <br />currently being prepared and will define the scope of the projects to be completed in 2007. <br />12/14/06 <br />
