CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2006-003 <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE NOVEMBER 29, 2005 <br />"COMPREHENSIVE TRAIL GUIDE PLAN" <br />WHEREAS, the Lake Elmo Parks Commission, following months of work with <br />its consultant (SEH), presented a proposed Trails System Plan to the Planning <br />Commmission as a Comprehensive Plan Amendment in July, 2005. <br />WHEREAS, at its July 11, 2005 meeting, the Planning Commission held a public <br />hearing on the proposed Plan Element and at the conclusion of the hearing tabled <br />consideration of the Plan Element pending a workshop with the Parks Commission on <br />August 9, 2005. <br />WHEREAS, following the Hearing and Workshop the Park Commission worked <br />with its consultant (SEH) to address issues raised and directed the consultant to <br />incorporate the modifications in the November 29, 2005, Plan Element. <br />WHEREAS, at its December 12, 2005 meeting, the Planning Commission <br />considered the revisions to the Trail Plan prepared by the Park Commission and its <br />consultant (dated November 29, 2005) and recommended adoption of the Plan as an <br />element of the Lake Elmo Comprehensive Plan. <br />WHEREAS, the November 29, 2005 "Comprehensive Trail Guide Plan" was <br />presented to the City Council on December 20, 2005 and January 3, 2006, as <br />recommended by the Park Commission and the Planning Commission as an element of <br />the Lake Elmo Comprehensive Plan. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council for the City of <br />Lake Elmo does hereby approve and accept the November 29, 2005 "Comprehensive <br />Trail Guide Plan" as an element of the Lake Elmo Comprehensive Plan. <br />ADOPTED, by the Lake Elmo City Council on the 3rd day of January, 2006. <br />Dean Johnston, Mayor <br />Martin J.
