Edina Housing Task Force <br />DRAFT March 2006 <br />Principles: <br />EdinWs housing efforts will be most suc- <br />cessful if it follows these principles for ac- <br />tion: <br />• Collaboration: Collaboration allows <br />communities to leverage strengths <br />and resources. Edina does collabo- <br />ration extremely well and should <br />continue this approach for housing. <br />• Communication: Structured, inclu- <br />sive communication is central to <br />engaging the community and build- <br />ing support for the Housing Suc- <br />cession Plan. <br />• Existing Resources: To ensure the <br />greatest effectiveness and effi- <br />ciency, Edina should tap existing <br />resources — both institutional <br />structures as well as funding <br />sources. <br />• Accountability: For the Housing <br />Succession Plan to succeed there <br />must be clear accountability and <br />shared responsibility. <br />The three -step action plan, below, incorpo- <br />rates these principles. <br />
