M <br />City of Lake Elmo and Susan Hoyt <br />PROJECT DIRECTOR EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT <br />THIS PROJECT DIRECTOR EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT, entered into this _ day of <br />, 2006 by and between the CITY OF LAKE ELMO, Minnesota municipal" <br />corporation ("City") and SUSAN HOYT ('Project Director"). <br />TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE PROJECT DIRECTOR EMPLOYMENT <br />1. EMPLOYMENT. Upon the terms and conditions set forth in this agreement, the City <br />hereby contracts with the Project Director to perform project management duties. <br />2. TERM OF EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT. The initial term of the Employment Agreement <br />shall be from November 1, 2006 through April 30, 2007. The Employment Agreement can be <br />extended upon mutual agreement of the City and the Project Director. <br />3. DUTIES. For purposes of this agreement, it is understood and agreed between the <br />parties that the Project Director will provide project management services to the Mayor and City <br />Council and to the Interim City Administrator for projects identified by the Mayor and City Council. <br />The Project Director shall report both to the Mayor and City Council and to the Interim City <br />Administrator. <br />4. SCHEDULE. The Project Director shall not be less than 15 hours per week or more than <br />45 hours per week. Paid hours beyond 45 hours per week shall be approved in advance by the <br />Mayor and City Council. <br />The Project Director will attend city meetings, including staff meetings, as requested and <br />required to fulfill herjob duties. <br />5. TRAVEL Travel to and from work will not be counted as time worked. Travel within the <br />Twin Cities Metropolitan Area In connection with job duties shall be billed as time worked. <br />6. COMPENSATION/BENEFITS. The Project Director will be compensated at $45.00 per <br />hour of service. As a contract employee, the Project Director compensation shall be subject to <br />federal and state income tax withholding deductions, FICA and Medicare deduction. The Project <br />Director wishes to contribute to the Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA) at the <br />current contribution rate. The Project Director will not expect the City to contribute toward PERA. <br />The position of Project Director is an executive, exempt position under the Fair Labor <br />Standards Act (FLSA) and shall not be eligible for cash overtime or compensatory time in lieu of <br />overtime. <br />The Project Director shall not be eligible for nor shall she receive any fringe benefits from <br />the City of Lake Elmo as enumerated in the above paragraph. By way of example and without <br />limitation, the Project Director shall not be eligible for City group insurance benefits, paid holidays, <br />vacation, sick leave or severance. <br />The.
