Education <br />Three school districts serve the Lake Elmo area. The Stillwater Area School District 834 covers the <br />majority of Lake Elmo with two other school districts serving border neighborhoods. District 834 <br />includes 10 elementary schools, two junior high schools, and one high school. Lake Elmo <br />Elementary School and Oak -Land junior High School are located within the City of Lake Elmo. <br />Health Care <br />Two hospitals serve Lake Elmo residents providing comprehensive health care services: Lakeview <br />Hospital located in Stillwater and Woodwinds Hospital in Woodbury, which is a collaborative <br />between HealthEast Care System and Children's Hospital and Clinics. A number of clinics are <br />located within the City of Lake Elmo including the High Pointe Health Campus that includes a <br />surgery center. <br />The Organization <br />Lake Elmo operates under a Mayor/Council form of government. The Mayor serves a two-year <br />term and Councilmembers serve four-year staggered terms. The City Councill is assisted by several <br />advisory boards including the Community Improvement Commission, Parks Commission, Plarmin <br />Commission, and Environmental Commission. <br />Organizational Structure <br />City Council <br />
