�7 <br />The second stage will be the construction of a "day room" in the center stall, <br />improvement of storage space and upgrading the existing office space. The Firefighters <br />have agreed to provide the labor for this project to minimize the costs. There will be <br />expenses for materials, HVAC and some electrical work. <br />Mayor Johnston questioned the need for the second stage improvements. City <br />Administrator Rafferty advised that this building will be usable for another 8-10 years, <br />which warrants at least these minimal improvements to function as a fire station over that <br />time period. Council Member DeLapp said he supported the upgrades, and he <br />appreciated the time and effort the Firefighters were going to provide to completing the <br />improvements. <br />M/S/P DeLapp/Johnston — to award the bid to Volk Contracting in the amount of <br />$8,250.00 for the painting and floor upgrade at Fire Station No. 2.
