DRAFT City Engineer Prew requested direction from Council regarding the upgrading of 281' Street, south of the end of Jamley Avenue. M/S/P Conlin/Smith — to direct the City Engineer to prepare a Feasibility Report, and to include the cost of a City standard street and with an alternative of an 18' wide road with a 6" gravel base, and bring back to the September 19, 2006, Council meeting. He reported that approximately 25 property owners have not as yet responded tletters regarding connection to their homes, and that extra crews had arrived to assist with this project as work is slightly behind schedule. Council Member DeLapp observed that if both parcels are owned by the same party, and one is non -conforming by area (as is the homestead parcel), the Code requires the parcels be combined and divided such that both are conforming in area — 10 acres in this case. He said he believes that Richard and Eileen Bergman own both parcels so a condition of the variance should be that the homestead parcel be enlarged to at least 10 acres.
